The
new vision for anti-corrosive protection
Inspired
by the global research in environment, Suprabha has dedicated a
division towards promoting eco-friendly and biodegradable products.
It has been over 3 decades since Suprabha achieved its first breakthrough
by replacing solvents by water and introducing the novel water-based
anti-corrosive liquids. The chemicals used for these liquids are
also biodegradable. Ever since this breakthrough the research team
at Suprabha has been experimenting in developing biodegradable options
in all other forms of anti-corrosives, which has today yielded success.
Suprabha today has its entire range of biodegradable anti-corrosive
products, which include Packaging material, oil and water-based
anti-corrosives, desiccants and powders.
The latest
achievement of the Suprabha research team is the usage of vegetable
oil as a base for its rust preventive oils. History indicates its
earliest recorded usage.
•
Functionally equivalent or superior to petroleum
• Castor oil has special functionality
• Replaced in 19th century by “cheap” petroleum
products
For use
of vegetable oil as an engine lubricant, recent studies indicate
interesting findings. Vegetable oil-based lubricants lead to lower
total particulate mass emissions under some engine operating conditions
and leads to significant differences in particulate morphology and
composition under light load conditions. At Suprabha vegetable oils
have been tested for their properties as a carrier for VCI. The
results were dramatic. With this most recent breakthrough, Suprabha
has successfully completed its entire range of biodegradable products.
